Removing the rear differential…

It’s quite corroded, but it’s the original 4:11 posi rear diff!

Strut rod support bracket would not come loose.

Needed some overnight soaking.

Differential rubber mount cushion

The original red plastic “Posi” tag

I have a lot of replacement bolts/hardware on-hand that we can utilize at no cost

Steering & front suspension removal

 

Steering components removed

Compressing the coil spring

Breaking the ball joint free

Front Suspension Removed: upper A-Arms, lower A-Arms, Coil springs, Steering Box, Power Steering Cylinder & hoses, tie rods, idler arm, relay rod, etc. etc.

Front & Rear Suspension all removed

Removing the rear shocks

Unbolting the Rear Struts

Lots of corrosion

Removing the rear Shock Mount Brackets

Rear struts are both bent

Removing the Half Shafts

The Half Shafts were mounted with correct U-Bolt French Locks

Rear Brake Rotors  are extremely corroded

Unbolting the second Trailing Arm

Parking brake cable and spring

Passenger side Half Shaft was being difficult

Notice it’s a 17mm bolt??   ; )

Had a really stubborn set of rusty Half Shaft bolts holding it to the Trailing Arm. Finally got it.
